For UK sports club community trusts

Keep the lunch. Add the ledger.

Your business club has the affinity, the venue and the audience. It needs a searchable directory, introductions you can count, and a renewal letter that proves a member got their money back. That part is software.

Competition for discretionary spend has never been more intense, which makes it vital for charities to clearly demonstrate both impact and value.

Safeguarding

Trust Hub is not a participant-data system.

We hold no participant records. No young people, no health or social-prescribing data, no case notes, no consent forms. Nothing that sits inside your safeguarding policy.

Trust Hub holds the businesses that support you: your business club, your patrons, your corporate partners, your event bookers. Your delivery system holds the people you support. We only want to be the first one.

  • No participant records
  • No health or education data
  • UK-hosted, GDPR, DPA responsibilities documented
  • Export everything, any time

A wall of logos, or a directory

Does your members page look like a grid of logos? Give each member a profile with their sector, services, location and contact, and someone hunting for an accountant finds three of them within ten miles.

A wall of logos

Nobody can search it, a prospect cannot see who they would be joining, and there is no way to show a partner that their logo placement was worth anything.

3 of 13 members match · sorted by distance

Every member has a profile they maintain themselves: sector, services, location, contact, what they are looking for. Searchable on the web and in the app.

The directory is the quickest thing to turn on. Send us your member list and it is live for you to look at, then members fill in their own profiles from the app and keep them current themselves.

Show a member what their £600 bought

Renewals get easier when the member can see their year in front of them. Trust Hub counts it as the year happens and sends this out before the invoice.

Membership £600 · return 23×

"You attended 4 of 6 events. You made 11 connections. You gave 3 introductions and received 2."

That is the whole argument for next year's fee, and it writes itself. Attendance comes from check-in. Connections come from the app. Introductions are logged by the two members involved. The value is entered by the member who won the work, so it is their number, not your estimate.

  • Sent automatically before renewal, or exported as a PDF
  • The trust sees the same numbers across every member
  • Members who got nothing show up early enough to fix
  • Total business attributed becomes a headline for next year's recruitment

See it on your own member list

BNI sends its members a page like this automatically, which is why it charges more and still fills a function room fifty times a year. Your business club has the better asset. This is the part it has been missing.

The word your sector hasn't taken yet

In a community trust a referral is a young person sent in by a school, a GP or the police. We never use that word for business. A member passing work to another member is an introduction. Nobody in the sector has claimed that term, so your business club can be the first place it means something.

Made in two taps

A member finds another member in the directory and introduces them to a contact. Both sides get it in the app, and it is on the record from the moment it happens instead of being remembered at renewal.

Followed to a number

The receiving member marks it won and enters what it was worth. That number turns "we ran ten events" into "our business club moved £340,000 between our members this year".

Visible to the trust

The trust sees who gives, who receives and who has had a quiet year. One dashboard, the whole club, nobody filling in a form.

Three things a WhatsApp group cannot do

If your networking runs in a WhatsApp group it is unowned, unsearchable and invisible to you, and when the organiser moves on the network goes with them.

People can join at 10pm on a Sunday

Most business clubs can only be joined by emailing or ringing someone, with the benefits list behind that call too. Publish the tiers, the prices and what each one includes, and a business owner can join at 10pm on a Sunday, which is when they decide to.

  • Tiers published with prices: Business Club, patrons, Community Supporter
  • Join, pay and be a member without a phone call
  • Recurring subscriptions, renewals and lapses handled automatically
  • Member status validated at event checkout, so the member rate cannot leak

The networking layer belongs to the trust

Groups and micro-groups replace the WhatsApp thread: a channel for the whole business club, one per sector, one per event, one for corporate partners only. Searchable, moderated, and still there when the organiser changes job.

  • Segmented posts by group or micro-group
  • Members reply in the app, so nothing lands in a personal inbox
  • New members see the history instead of starting cold
  • The trust owns the data, the archive and the list

A property you control, on a website you don't

About half of community trusts sit on the club's own domain, running EFL Digital or Pulselive. You are a tenant: you cannot build a member area, you cannot add a directory, and every change is somebody else's ticket. Trust Hub is your own branded member area and app, carrying the trust's name, off the club's roadmap entirely. Charlton already runs cact.gives and charltonevents.com exactly this way.

  • Branded member portal and mobile app in your colours
  • Event booking, directory, introductions and messaging in one place
  • Nothing to ask the club's digital agency for
  • Links back to the club site rather than depending on it

Not a replacement for Views or Upshot

If your delivery team measures participants in Views or Upshot, keep them. We hold businesses; they hold the people you support. Different buyer, different data, different governance, and nothing to migrate.

If the directory and the renewal report win one extra £1,000 Community Supporter, or hold one £2,500 partner who was drifting, that is the year covered. There was no licence fee to cover in the first place.

Oldham Athletic Community Trust

One of the six original 1986 Football in the Community pilot clubs. Registered charity 1120894. League Two. One commercial manager, ten networking events a year, and a business club they are now building out on Trust Hub.

Adrian Stores, Commercial & Fundraising Manager, filmed at Boundary Park · 1:57
  • 1 commercial manager, so the software carries the admin
  • 10 networking events a year
  • 13 business club members going into the directory
  • 3 revenue lines coming onto one system

Oldham are a new customer, and Net Hub is listed as an Affinity Partner alongside the other organisations with revenue-share agreements with the trust. Adrian is on the record, by name, on camera, and is happy to take a call from another trust that wants to hear it from him.

Before it goes to trustees

Does this hold any data about the people we support?

No. Trust Hub holds businesses, members and event bookers. No participants, no young people, no health or education records, no case notes. If a piece of data would sit inside your safeguarding policy, it does not belong in Trust Hub and we have not built anywhere to put it.

Do we have to stop using Views or Upshot?

No, and you shouldn't. They measure participants for funders. We measure businesses for your commercial income. Different data, different buyer, different governance. CSV export both ways and Zapier cover almost every integration question that comes up.

What does it actually cost?

£0 setup, £0 monthly, 3% on tickets sold. There is no per-member fee and no licence. Card processing is at cost and shown separately. You take the ticket money at the point of sale. We never hold your funds.

We already use Charity Hive. Why change?

You may not need to change your ticketing at all. The gap Charity Hive does not fill is everything after the ticket: the directory, the introductions, the membership subscriptions and the report that tells a member what their £600 bought. That is the part your renewals depend on.

Our site sits on the club's domain. Can we still do this?

Yes. That is the reason it works. Trust Hub is your own branded member area and app on your own address, so nothing needs to go through the club's digital agency or their release schedule. Charlton run cact.gives and charltonevents.com the same way.

Who owns the member data?

The trust does. Export the full member list, the directory, the introductions log and the event history at any time, in CSV. If you leave, you leave with all of it.

How long until our business club is actually on it?

Send us the member list and we will have the directory and the tiers up for you to look at. The part that takes time is your members completing their own profiles, which is why we start with the directory rather than with the app.

Can we speak to a trust already using it?

Yes. Oldham Athletic Community Trust are a customer and an Affinity Partner, and Adrian Stores is happy to talk to another trust. Ask Tim to make the introduction.

Start with the directory

Send your member list and we will show you what it looks like as something people can search, before you commit to anything.
